The quality of a turntable always depends on its weakest link. For this reason, Acoustic Signature refuses to offer entry-level tonearms that would significantly limit the performance of its turntables. The TA-7000 Neo is a very high-end tonearm designed to be paired with some of the finest turntables and cartridges on the market. It delivers remarkable performance and musicality considering its price. It is available in both 9-inch and 12-inch versions.

Acoustic Signature TA-7000 Neo: tube and bearings

The Acoustic Signature TA-7000 Neo is available in 9-inch or 12-inch versions with an effective length of 239.3 mm or 309 mm. It features a carbon fiber tube internally reinforced and damped by a 3D-printed “Eiffel” structure. This design provides exceptional rigidity and resonance levels close to zero. Its effective mass is 10.2 g for the 9-inch version and 13.9 g for the 12-inch version, making it compatible with a wide range of MM and MC cartridges, although MC cartridges are especially recommended with a tonearm of this quality.

The TA-7000 offers outstanding tracking performance thanks to miniature ball bearings supplied by SKF. To ensure excellent durability while maintaining perfect fluidity, the manufacturer machines a dedicated stainless steel pivot shaft with micron-level precision.

The counterweight applying the tracking force is fully machined from a high-purity brass block. Its fine threading greatly simplifies tracking force adjustment. Precise anti-skating correction is applied via a dial located on the right side of the tonearm pivot.

The highly technical headshell is machined from a solid aluminum block. It allows precise alignment and overhang adjustment and is compatible with most cartridges available on the market.

The TA-7000 is also equipped with a fully machined cueing lever offering excellent precision and ease of use.

The internal wiring uses very high-quality 4N pure silver conductors. It is fitted with silver-plated cartridge connectors providing extremely low resistance and minimal capacitance.

The TA-7000 is supplied with a superb 5-pin DIN to RCA cable made from PSC copper by the Scottish manufacturer Atlas.

The TA-7000 comes with an SME-type mounting base, making it compatible both with the manufacturer’s turntables and with most turntables supporting this mounting standard. Note that while most turntables can accommodate the 9-inch version, far fewer are compatible with the 12-inch version. We recommend checking compatibility with your turntable before installation.
