Description

Quad 303 amplifier

The QUAD 303, paired with the 33 preamp, has been an iconic hi-fi duo since 1967, renowned for its performance and reliability. Revisited, the 303 retains its robust “industrial” design, with RCA/XLR connections and a mono bridged mode. Its technology, faithful to Peter Walker's original “triple balanced” circuit but with a fully complementary output stage, reduces distortion and improves stability. Offering 50W stereo (or 140-170W mono bridged), the new 303 delivers a refined, full sound, with rich timbres and natural musicality, surpassing its predecessor in definition and subtlety. A real favorite, for use with the 33 or other symmetrical preamps.

Quad 33 preamplifier

The QUAD 33, the emblematic 1967 hi-fi preamplifier and benchmark for the QUAD brand, is reissued to combine authenticity and modernity. The new version retains the aesthetics of its predecessor, with improved materials. Its front panel features familiar controls with an LCD screen and rotary encoders. It offers analog RCA and XLR connections, as well as a high-performance MM/MC phono preamp. Technologically, it remains analog, with digital control, a high-quality ALPS potentiometer, bass and balance controls, and QUAD's unique “Tilt” control for precise tonal adjustment. Designed by a team of QUAD experts, this reissue aims to match or even surpass the performance of the original, thanks to an optimized power supply and modern components.
