The AudioQuest Lone Ranger incorporates proven design elements and replaces the renowned AudioQuest Robin Hood speaker cable. While retaining part of its predecessor’s technology, it introduces numerous technical and structural innovations that significantly enhance performance.

Design & Technologies

Slightly slimmer than the Brave Heart (11.6 mm outer diameter versus 14.1 mm per polarity), the Lone Ranger shares the same advanced architecture with physically separated conductors, reducing interference and improving signal integrity.

It features AudioQuest ZERO-Tech technology, which provides virtually zero characteristic impedance. This eliminates impedance mismatch between the cable, amplifier and loudspeakers, allowing energy to flow freely and resulting in effortless, natural musical reproduction.

Compared to previous models, the Lone Ranger uses significantly larger conductors, with nearly one third more PSC+ copper, delivering lower impedance, a more linear frequency response regardless of speaker load, and increased power and authority.

A high-quality polypropylene dielectric helps dissipate noise across a wider bandwidth while reducing distortion and preventing harshness. A thick carbon-loaded PVC jacket combined with a graphene layer, along with 4% silver-plated drain wires, further improves RF noise dissipation.

Conductors

The AudioQuest Lone Ranger uses solid-core conductors, preventing strand interaction—a major source of dynamic distortion. These conductors are made exclusively from Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+), AudioQuest’s purest copper, minimizing grain-boundary distortion.

Each conductor is insulated with air-filled expanded polyethylene, a material that absorbs very little energy and exhibits extremely low distortion. Direction-controlled conductors efficiently drain RF noise away from sensitive amplification circuits.

Dielectric Bias System (DBS)

The Lone Ranger is equipped with AudioQuest’s patented 72V Dielectric-Bias System (DBS). Two conductors embedded in the insulation are energized by a battery pack, polarizing the dielectric and dramatically reducing dielectric noise.

This active polarization linearizes RF noise dissipation across a wide bandwidth, improving clarity, resolution and silence between notes. The battery pack features a test button with LED indicator and offers years of operation thanks to extremely low self-discharge.

Connectors

The Lone Ranger speaker cable is terminated with cold-welded AudioQuest Series 1000 banana connectors, silver-plated for ultra-low resistance and excellent contact quality.

These connectors are made from extremely pure red copper, directly silver-plated without an intermediate layer to preserve signal integrity. The absence of metal housings prevents RF noise induction and re-radiation. Each connector is clearly marked “Amp” and “Speaker” to ensure correct installation.
