Humminguru NOVA: How it works

Ultrasonic cleaning is an approved process that uses sound waves to create cavitation bubbles in a water bath, and requires no contact with the disc during the cleaning process. The new HumminGuru NOVA features an improved drive system that optimizes the performance of the dual ultrasonic transducers. In addition, a sweep frequency technique has been applied to ensure even distribution of cavitation energy in the water, providing uniform cleaning action on the disc. This 40 kHz frequency is powerful enough to remove contaminants and dust from your vinyl record, without causing damage.

After the washing process, instead of releasing the water manually, the machine automatically drains all the water from the basin back into the water tank, ensuring that the record is dried in a totally dry space. This automatic draining system simplifies the cleaning process and makes it highly efficient.

HumminGuru has considerably improved the NOVA's drying efficiency! It is equipped with more powerful fans that move with the adjustable rotation wheels. Whether you're cleaning 7", 10" or 12" discs, the fans can blow directly onto the surface of the discs, ensuring fast, highly efficient drying. The NOVA offers program-dependent drying times of 3 minutes (I) and 6 minutes (II), while the HumminGuru Original HG01 offers drying times of 5 minutes (I) and 10 minutes (II).

The HumminGuru Nova Ultrasonic cleaner features thermal protection to prevent the machine from overheating and damaging your vinyl records. When the water temperature reaches 55˚C, the unit will stop immediately. Simply allow the water to cool before resuming operation.

The NOVA's lid serves as both a record dryer and a record rack. The drying rack safely holds up to five discs (7", 10", 12"), making it ideal for users who prefer to clean a batch of discs at once and leave them to air-dry. What's more, for convenient storage, the holder can be re-inserted into the unit without having to dismantle it!

The Nova is compatible with all vinyl pressing formats: 130, 160, 180 and 220g.

One of the Nova's new features is its patented adjustable rotation wheel. This revolutionary design makes the Nova compatible with 7", 10" and 12" records, without the need for adapters. This makes it easy to clean vinyl records of different sizes. Users can easily adjust the position of the spinning wheels for 7, 10 and 12-inch records. What's more, this design allows users to fine-tune the position of the spinning wheels to accommodate vinyl records of slightly different dimensions, which may not dock perfectly with the wheels and therefore not spin as they should.

The Humminguru Nova is equipped with a new user interface featuring new modes: a 10-minute intensive wash mode, a new drip mode and quick modes in addition to 3 Auto modes.

In Auto mode, you can choose between two cleaning times: 2, 3, 5 or 6 minutes. If you want a quick clean before listening to your vinyl record, choose the shorter 2mm duration. But if you have a very dirty vinyl record, we recommend choosing the 10-minute duration for a thorough cleaning. Cleaning can be optimized with HumminGuru The Small Bottle solution, designed to improve vinyl cleaning.

It's also possible to clean or dry the record separately, by choosing the Cleaning only or Drying only mode.

The results are, of course, indisputable. Efficiency is indisputable, even if on very dirty records it doesn't yet match the results offered by the Degritter RCM.
