Audioquest NRG-X3 power cable

For several years, the Audioquest NRG-X power cables have been receiving numerous awards from the specialised press and being very popular with High-Fidelity enthusiasts. Their performance and the upgrade compared to standard power cords contributed to their success.

The Audioquest NRG-X3 is part of the power cables new generation from the American manufacturer.

AUDIOQUEST NRG-X3: CHARACTERISTICS

This new power cable uses direction-controlled long-grain copper (LGC) conductors in a semi-solid concentric topology. This sophisticated arrangement allows to pack strands more tightly and keep them in the same position within the bundle.

The LGC copper minimises distortion caused by grain boundaries that are present in the whole metal conductor, which in turn ensures induced noise is dissipated and drained properly where it will harm the system’s performance the least.

Earlier Audioquest NRG-X cables had 37 strands in three layers over the single centre strand. The new X-Series power cables only have seven larger strands comprising a single uniform layer over a centre strand.

The AudioQuest NRG-X3 cable effectively lowers noise in the audio/video system.

The sound reproduction seems more accurate and transparent. The presence of this cable offers a better bass definition, articulation and faster transients. We also notice an improvement with the spatialisation.
