Description

After the Spanish escapade “Teatro Lucido” and the sweet escape “Paris Hawai”, the band created by Marlon Magnée and Sacha Got continues its world tour with “Rock Machine”, its first album written in English. Composed over the last few years during various tours around the world, this new LP was heavily inspired by a series of dates in the USA, Canada, South America and Australia, and the encounters that resulted from them.
La Femme returns to its first loves of new wave and synth wave from “Psycho Tropical Berlin”, which it fuses with an Anglo-Saxon rock sound from the 80s and 90s. This album is an ode to rock “n” roll, its effectiveness and timelessness, but also to love and despair.
With Rock Machine, La Femme continues to develop a multidimensional universe that transcends trends, with its own unique sound and aesthetic. In addition to rock and synthwave sounds (of which Clover Paradise is a perfect example), there is still electro (Sweet Babe), surf music (Ciao Paris), UK punk-style disco (My Generation), western and ballads. ‘Vénus’ is an irresistible and intoxicating encounter between the Velvet Underground and The Mamas and the Papas, while ‘Love is Over’ sounds like an 80s Madchester band playing at the Hacienda... The list is long but always unique and coherent.
