MUSICAL FIDELITY LX2-LPS: FRONT PANEL

We find a pretty front panel in natural or black brushed aluminium, combined with a non-magnetic metal case. It is equipped with a power switch and a MM or MC input selection switch.

Indeed, it does not activate a circuit but selects one of the two distinct inputs. It means that you can connect two turntables or two tonearms at the same time.

Loads are adjustable on the back of the device by adding a RCA with an adjustable resistance. As standard, the MC load is of 100 ohms.

The RIAA correction has been optimized in order to offer a precision of ± 0.25 dB from 20 Hz-20 kHz! However, it goes up to 45 kHz at the top of the spectrum!

The signal-to-noise ratio is excellent for a product of this range: more than 82dB in MM and more than 72dB in MC! This means that the noise level is almost inaudible at any volume.

The distortion is very low because it is less than 0.007% and all the audio tape.

The restitution is very precise and transparent, as expected with Musical Fidelity.

The Musical Fidelity LX2-LPS tends to neutrality and fidelity. It offers few coloration and flattery.

The top of the spectrum is chiseled with beautiful clarity, highlighting lots of detail. The mid-range offers the same qualities, with excellent fluidity and beautiful dynamics.

We find the wide and articulated bass of the manufacturer’s products.
