CLEARAUDIO's INNOVATION turntable is designed as an affordable variant of the Master innovation. As such, it features its lower part (its platter, drive system and structure).

Clearaudio developed an upgrade package to upgrade to a Master. It features the Master Innovation's 70 mm solid platter. It consists of an acrylic part (Delrin) supported by a 15 mm thick stainless steel plate. The system is driven by a direct current motor (DC) with a very high torque. The speed is stabilised and controlled with an IR sensor that sends the rotation information to an optical control system. This system keeps the speed constant and very precise.
