The Acoustic Signature MCX-1 is a modern moving coil cartridge designed using the latest advanced technologies. It is the most affordable model in the German manufacturer’s lineup, offering high-end performance at an accessible level.

Acoustic Signature MCX-1: Technical Design

The MCX-1 features an elliptical diamond stylus that ensures precise tracking with minimal distortion. It is paired with an aluminum cantilever, providing an excellent balance between rigidity and lightness.

The coils are made of high-purity OFC copper, ensuring faithful signal transmission.

The cartridge body is CNC-machined from a հատուկ aluminum alloy optimized for resonance control. With a compliance of 15 and a weight of 12.2g, it is well suited for medium to high-mass tonearms.

Acoustic Signature MCX-1: Installation

Wiring follows the standard color code, and the channel pins are arranged in a conventional layout compatible with most MC cartridges.

Installation is straightforward thanks to precision-threaded inserts. The cartridge is supplied with two sets of screws:

• 5 mm screws for headshells up to 3.5 mm thick
• 7 mm screws for thicker headshells

Azimuth adjustment is crucial for optimal channel separation. This can be checked using a small mirror placed on the platter, ensuring the cartridge is perfectly perpendicular.

The cantilever angle is designed to match the standard 20° cutting angle when the recommended tracking force is applied and the cartridge is properly aligned.

The MCX-1 delivers an open and dynamic sound with a slight touch of warmth, resulting in a natural presentation.
