Sivga Luan open-back Hi-Fi headphones

The Sivga Luan is an open-back dynamic headphone. It replaces the renowned and talented Sivga Phoenix.

It is equipped with new 50mm diameter drivers featuring a nickel-plated polymer diaphragm. This material was chosen for its lightness and rigidity. The dome is made of carbon fiber, which helps limit unwanted vibrations.

Like the Phoenix, the driver is moved by a copper-plated aluminum coil, and the magnetic circuit is provided by 24.5mm diameter and 3mm thick ND-FE-B magnets. This supplies strong magnetic power to the driver.

The assembly is housed in a precisely CNC-machined solid wood shell. The finish (polishing, varnishing, etc.) is entirely handcrafted. The driver is decompressed through a beautiful black stainless steel braided grille.

The Luan's spring-shaped headband offers perfect pressure distribution on the ears. It is covered with leather and memory foam cushions, which are themselves covered with velvet on the reverse side. The detachable ear pads are also covered with an elegant velvet fabric enveloping ultra-comfortable memory foam.

The supplied cable, covered with a braided sheath, is of excellent quality. It is equipped with two 3.5mm mono jacks at the ear cups and a 3.5mm stereo jack at the other end. This configuration makes the Sivga Luan compatible with many market cables. It comes with a 3.5/6.35mm stereo jack adapter.

SIVGA LUAN OPEN-BACK HI-FI HEADPHONE: TEST AND REVIEW

Like all dynamic headphones, the Sivga Luan requires at least twenty hours of break-in to fully appreciate its qualities.

The open-back Luan reproduces music with great naturalness, nuance, and subtlety. It offers excellent dynamics and less "compression" than its closed-back competitors.

The bass and lower mids are present with beautiful clarity and excellent precision. The mids are certainly what sets the Sivga Luan apart. The vocals are expressive and very realistic. It offers a slightly less dark balance than the Phoenix without unreasonably accentuating clarity.

Female vocals are particularly well reproduced with excellent balance and a superb naturalness that is usually not found in Hi-Fi headphones in this range. Overall, the sound reproduction is uncolored, and the timbres are surprisingly natural.

The upper range is precise and silky and integrates perfectly with the other registers. It does not favor sibilance and offers a beautiful texture.

This Sivga Luan once again showcases the manufacturer's expertise and mastery in audio headphones. Its performance, build quality, and musicality could make it pass for a headphone costing two or three times its price!
