Description

This Naim Audio Headline headphone amplifier is designed to deliver optimum sonic performances with most commercially-available high impedance headphones. It is beautifully crafted and designed like all Naim Audio products.

Depending on the system you have, whether or not it is from Naim Audio, you can add RCA outputs or a DIN.

Naim Audio Headline: power supply

Like with all Naim Audio products, this headphone preamplifier does not have an internal power supply. Hence it must be used with a Naim Audio NA-PSC power supply at least.

And if you have more exacting standards, you can use a FlatCap, HiCap and even a SuperCap. But for a compatibility with connector formats, a specific lead, the 'SLIC', is a must.

Naim Audio Headline: listening and review

From the opening bars, we were surprised by the low noise and distortion level emanating from this preamplifier.

Playback is very detailed and vibrant, the slightest detail and atmosphere are fully transcribed.

This headphone amp also showcases the technical sound recording techniques: it is very easy to identify instrument and microphone placement.

Playback is very neutral with a vibrant nature that is typical with Naim Audio products.

The Naim Audio Headline headphone amplifier, connected to its NA-PSC power supply unit, is the cheapest high-end headphone preamplifiers that we know of and one of the most efficient.

Highly recommended!
