The Monitor Audio Bronze 500 tower speaker is the most ambitious model in the range and replaces the famous and deceased Bronze 6.

MONITOR AUDIO BRONZE 500: DESIGN

The Monitor Audio Bronze 500 is designed to work into big rooms, and to be associated to quite mid-range amplifiers.

The entire case is heavy (18kg) and rests on a new steel base that receives 4 spikes for use on carpeting or 4 rubber feet suitable for hard floors.

The speakers can be hidden behind a magnetic cover made of Jersey acoustically transparent.

MONITOR AUDIO BRONZE 500: CHARACTERISTICS

The bass is entrusted to a C-CAM speaker of 20cm in diameter, associated to a bass reflex load. The midrange is also entrusted to a C-CAM speaker of 20cm in diameter, associated to its own bass reflex load. They are electrically filtered by the same module that, making the Bronze 500 a 2-way and a half unit.

The top of the spectrum is processed by a Gold C-CAM dome tweeter, common to all speakers of this range. The two bass/reflex lead to the back of the Hi-Fi speaker.

The terminal block allows bi-wiring or bi-amplification, and supports banana plugs, forks and bare wiring.

MONITOR AUDIO BRONZE 500: TEST AND LISTENING

We recommend you to place the speaker at least 30cm away from the wall. We associated them with an English integrated amplifier of 80W.

The restitution of these new Bronze 500 speakers is excellent by its fullness, dynamics and response in the lower spectrum. They demonstrate a significant evolution compared to the old Bronze 6 on this register, but also in terms of transparency.

The whole seems more open and precise, while keeping matter and presence, on female voices among others. We also find a beautiful quality of timbre and a very realistic transcription of the strings and winds.

The sound scene and stereo are surprising. The Bronze 500 fills the space with ease.
