Audioquest RJ/E Cinnamon Ethernet cable features silver-plated OFC (Oxygene Free Copper) copper conductors (1.25% vs. 0.5% for Forest RJ/E). Silver-plated OFC copper conductors are excellent for very high-frequency applications such as audio Ethernet. High frequencies travel mainly on the surface of the conductor, hence the advantage of silver plating. RJ45 connectors are 100% shielded, gold-plated nickel.

This is a Category 7 (Cat 7) cable. Cat 7 Ethernet cables are capable of delivering 600 MHz more bandwidth than Cat 5e (100 MHz) and Cat 6 (250 MHz). Insulation is high-density polyethylene to avoid distortion.

Cinnamon RJ/E cable offers excellent transmission performance. It is designed for HD audio. Arrows on the connectors indicate the correct cable direction. For best results, the arrow points in the direction of music flow, e.g. from NAS (network hard drive) to router, or from router to network player.
