The HumminGuru S-DUO is an ultrasonic cleaner specifically designed for vinyl turntable styluses. Although ultrasonic cleaning has proven to be a very effective and economical way of removing contaminants with minimal risk of damage, the application of ultrasonic technology to stylus cleaning is not so straightforward, making few devices available on the market.
It is well known that the stylus tip is very delicate and tiny. The HumminGuru S-DUO uses an ultrasonic cleaning frequency of 110 kHz, which creates much smaller cavitation bubbles to completely remove dust, dirt and hardened grime from the stylus tip. The ultrasonic frequency of the cleaner is specific and combined with optimum electrical power to prevent damage and ensure safe, effective cleaning.

Unlike stylus cleaners that use motor vibrations to clean the stylus with a short bristle brush, the HumminGuru S-DUO uses ultrasonic technology to better protect and extend the life of the stylus without abrasion. Cleaning the pen in the ultrasonic bath with water (3 to 4 drops) requires no physical contact and therefore poses no risk to the surface of the pen. Even if the stylus has a bonded diamond tip, it is possible to clean it 100% without damaging the adhesive in the water. The process takes around 20 seconds.

Adjusting the contact force of a cartridge is also an essential step in guaranteeing optimum playback results and preserving the life of both the discs and the cartridge. The HumminGuru S-DUO incorporates a digital aluminium pressure gauge, making adjustment simple and effective.
Thanks to the two-way LCD screen, the user can simply turn the device upside down for measurement instructions. Zeroing is automatic when the instrument is switched on, and the displayed value can be reset at any time simply by pressing the gauge icon button.

The big difference with the old version is the rechargeable function, which allows you to power the device without using disposable batteries. It recharges via a USB power supply.
