The new CD players in the Evolution series benefit from many innovations. The power supplies, conversion and audio stages have been completely redesigned.
Atoll CD80 EVO: boitier
The CD 80 EVO comes in a new metal case with a superb front (silver or black) brushed aluminum of 4mm! This façade of course takes the new design of the Atoll products.
Below the drawer, a low-power OLED display gives the different reading and range information. On each side of it there are 3 control keys taking the main functions (play, stop, pause, forward/ back...).
The rear panel features an asymmetric stereo analog output, a coaxial S/PDIF digital output and a Toslink optical output.
Atoll CD80 Signature: features
This CD player is equipped with the new Teac Pure Audio CD mechanics optimized to reduce jitter. It is mounted on a central anti-resonance frame to avoid any vibrations harmful to the reading.
The CD80 EVO supports CD, CD-R, CD-RW in MP3, WMA and AAC formats. It is also compatible with the CD Text if the disc has this feature. Atoll has opted for 5 regulated power supplies to limit all interference between analog and digital. A transformer is dedicated specifically for the audio stages. The power supplies have a combined output of 30 vA + 4.6 + 1.6 vA, and offer a total capacity of 21400 uF!
The analog output stages are symmetric and have discrete components fully polarized in Class A.
The digital part uses the excellent Burr-Brown PCM1791 A conversion chip. It offers a resolution of 24 bits over 192 kHz.
This EVO CD player can also be equipped with the optional ATOLL DC 200 digital card with 3 digital inputs: a coaxial input (24Bits/192kHz), an optical input (24Bits/192kHz) and an asynchronous USB-B input. This allows the player’s internal D/A converter to be used for external sources.
Atoll CD80 EVO: test and listen
The Atoll CD80 EVO CD player offers a very balanced and relatively neutral reproduction. The dynamics and transparency are remarkable across the spectrum. It has the same characteristics that made its predecessor a success, but with a clear improvement in timbre and nuance. The medium that offers a greater harmonic richness and a better presence.
Transparency as always with Attoll remains excellent and across the spectrum.
The bass is extended and very expressive. He is also convincing on an organ, a grand piano and of course also on an electric bass or a double bass or he remains dynamic and perfectly mastered.
This CD player, by its neutrality and musicality, is very versatile and will delight both jazz, rock or classical music lovers.
This Atoll CD80 EVO CD player is superbly built and offers a dynamic and attractive reproduction that meets the demand of many music lovers and audiophiles. The option of the Atoll CD Signature card is also an additional asset.

Atoll électronique
Je possède l ampli atoll in 100 se et le cd 80 sigature. Pourquoi regarder ailleurs alors que nous avons le meilleur de la Hi fi en France a Brecey en Normandie. Les produits Attol sont en tous points remarquables. Très bien fabriqués pour les Cd une mécanique TEAC excellente ,une dynamique et un raffinement d'écoute plus qu exellent. L ampli in 100 se est produit que chaque ami de la musique devrait posséder. Il est capable de "conduire "des enceintes de hautes volées .Attention au câbles qui doivent être de la même qualité (Hi fi câble et compagnie )ça marche très bien. Enfin un SAV AU TOP DU TOP et aujourd'hui se n'est pas rien .une exellente entreprise française qui marche très bien dans le monde. De l entrée au au de gamme superbe .Dominique Xavier Susini client désormais fidèle.
Lecteur CD atoll CD80
Possédant une platine cd britannique je n'ai rencontré que des problèmes ,mécanique défaillante. Apres un entretien téléphonique je me suis finalement décidé pour cet attol
Au début ça surprend ,c est très clair chaque note d une viole de gambe et très clairement et sobrement retranscrire. Mais ce sont les grands ensembles symphoniques qui sont le plus étonnant
Une grande image une neutralité parfaite.le grave est la ou il doit ce trouver et le sacre du printemps se trouve bien devant nous
Évidemment la neutralité a un inconvénient ca neutralité justement. Plus de colorations flatteuses .un formidable lecteur CD .je le recommande et je recommande également ma platine.,com .je ne suis qu'au rodage de l appareil. Soyer patients
magnifique
ce lecteur nous reconcillie avec nos cd. une neutralite et une transparence evidente.je n 'avais jamais entendu chanter la quitare de Clapton aussi clairement.avec le cable atlas en modulation et le furutech en alimentation c'est divin!!! et je ne suis quant periode de rodage.cela fait pratiquement dix ans que je remercie Franck a chaque commandes, et je suis fier d'etre un de ses plus fidèles clients merci a toute l ' equipe de ma platine .com de partager notre passion!!!
