We find the beautiful dark grey-brushed aluminium front panel of the AX series.

In the middle, there is the loading and underneath is the LCD display. The choice of a central mechanics is appreciable. It allows the masses to be properly allocated in the case.

The main features (5) are located on the right of the mechanics.

The back of the device is minimalist with 1 analogical output and an IEC C7 plug.

Do not be fooled by its price and its sobriety, this small CD player is surprising by its restitution.

It is relatively analogical by its balance and its fullness. Dynamics and transparency are excellent.

The midrange is also present and “soft” as Cambridge Audio’s electronics.
