Sivga Robin SV021 Closed-Back Hi-Fi Headphones

The Sivga Robin SV021 closed-back Hi-Fi headphones are dynamic closed-back headphones.

The 50 mm diameter drivers feature a polycarbonate diaphragm. This is paired with a copper-clad aluminum voice coil. The 3 mm thick Nd-Fe-B magnets provide powerful magnetic drive to the transducer.

The assembly is housed in a solid wood earcup, precision-machined using CNC technology. The finishing process (polishing, lacquering, etc.) is entirely handcrafted. They feature a highly ergonomic oval shape.

The spring-steel headband ensures perfect pressure distribution over the ears. This headband is covered in leatherette featuring elegant stitching. The detachable earpads are made of ultra-comfortable memory foam, also wrapped in leatherette.

The included cable is housed in an excellent quality woven sheath. It is terminated at the earcup end with two 2.5mm mono jacks, and at the other end with a 3.5mm stereo jack. Sivga naturally includes a 3.5mm to 6.35mm Jack adapter.

Like all dynamic headphones, the Sivga Robin SV021 require at least twenty hours of burn-in time before their full qualities can be appreciated.

The bass is rich, vocals are present, and the highs are crisp and clear.

The low end is punchy and clean, allowing for great definition and articulation in this register.

In terms of soundstage, the Robin SV021, despite being closed-back headphones, offer an excellent sense of space. The soundstage is wide yet realistic. Once again, for a closed-back model, the reproduction is spacious and very airy!

Compared to the competition, the SV021 is definitely cleaner and clearer. It delivers better detail retrieval, greater transparency, tighter bass, and a wider soundstage. The reproduction is both transparent and relatively "smooth". This allows for extended listening sessions without any auditory fatigue.

Furthermore, they are highly versatile. At this price point, they are an excellent choice.
