Dual CS 429 automatic turntable

The Dual CS 429 is the evolution of the famous Dual CS 415. However, it receives numerous improvements. In fact, everything has been modified, in addition to offering almost all the convenience features available on a turntable. Indeed, in addition to being automatic, it is equipped with a phono preamplifier and offers speed change options for 45, 33, and 78 RPM.

DUAL CS 429: CHASSIS

The chassis is made of MDF, providing excellent rigidity while offering superb resonance control. Additionally, it incorporates internal vibration absorbers.

It is covered with a high-quality vinyl finish, imitating black wood veneer. The base rests on elastomer feet. The turntable comes with a transparent acrylic cover.

DUAL CS 429: MOTOR AND PLATTER

The Dual CS 429 features belt-driven operation via a DC motor. It is controlled by a precise optical sensor, ensuring accurate speed regulation. The motor is supported by rubber mounts for vibration isolation.

The platter is made of die-cast aluminum and is accompanied by a thick rubber mat (2.5mm) to limit resonances. It rests on a hardened steel spindle inserted into a brass sleeve.

DUAL CS 429: TONEARM, CARTRIDGE, AND PHONO PREAMP

The Dual CS 429 comes with an 8.6-inch straight aluminum tonearm. The removable cartridge holder accommodates an Ortofon 2M Red MM cartridge.

The fully automatic function of the CS 429 offers maximum ease of use. The tonearm automatically lifts, moves, and lowers at the push of a button. Simply place the vinyl record on the platter and press the start button. These functions can be switched to manual via a switch.

The CS 429 is equipped with a small MM phono preamp, which can also be bypassed via a push button at the rear of the turntable. It allows connection to an auxiliary input of any audio device. The phono cable is not captive and can be replaced with a higher-performing model.
