Indiana Line Nota 550X floorstanding speakers

The Indiana Line Nota 550X is the first floorstanding speaker in the Italian manufacturer's range. It has been developed for small two-channel or multi-channel hi-fi installations, making it possible to create a small, high-quality hi-fi system at an affordable price in average spaces of between 15 and 25 m².

Can you connect a turntable to this pack?

Yes. The Rotel A08 integrated amplifier has an MM phono input that lets you connect a turntable fitted with a moving magnet cartridge directly, with no additional phono preamp required. This dedicated amplifier input handles the amplification and equalisation of the vinyl signal.

Are the Rotel A08 and Indiana Line Nota 550X floor-standing speakers well matched?

Yes, that is exactly the point of this pack: the amplifier and speakers were selected to work together. The Rotel A08 delivers 30 watts per channel into 8 ohms thanks to a Class AB stage and a custom toroidal transformer, keeping a good grip on the Nota 550X in rooms of 15 to 25 m². A floor-stander of this size appreciates an amplifier with current and reserve, and in a larger room higher power would be preferable.

How should the Indiana Line Nota 550X floor-standing speakers be set up?

Space them about 2.5 metres apart and keep them at least 30 cm from the rear wall. Their front-firing port allows positioning fairly close to the wall without overly colouring the bass. These columns are at their best in rooms with a surface area between 15 and 25 m².
