Danny Brown – Atrocity Exhibition (Warp Records 2016)

Danny Brown - Atrocity Exhibition

This album by Danny Brown is just awesome, and I measure my words. I don’t remember where I read this, but someone wrote that this album could have the same impact as Radiohead’s KID A when it came out. This LP definitely reveals exacting standards, but it unravels its depth as you listen on. Danny Brown, with his unique and very distinctive flow, delivers a flawless performance. My favourites: ‘When it Rain’, ‘White Lines’ and ‘Ain’it Funny’.

Lescop – Echo (Pop Noire Records 2016)

Lescop - Echo

I first listened to Lescop and his music under Post Punk and Cold Wave influence with his great first album. I really enjoyed listening to him again 4 years later with the great ‘Echo’, which has a few very well inspired gems! This album delivers a brighter atmosphere than the previous LP. I recommend two tracks in particular: ‘Quelqu’un à qui penser’ and ‘David Palmer’.
