The summer holidays are closing to an end… As the saying goes, all good things come to an end! If you have taken some time out during the holidays, here is a short review of the highlights of the summer at maPlatine.com.
maPlatine.com’s visit to leading Hi-Fi brands
In early June, we travelled to England to visit REGA’s production site. This visit with Roy Gandy (founder) and Guy Boselli (French importer for Sound & Colors) was a very enlightening experience, in particular in regards to the production of REGA products. The warm welcome we got was also a great plus! 😉 
In late June, we travelled to Denmark to visit Ortofon’s production plant. We also enjoyed great company there with our hosts, members of the Ortofon team and Alteraudio’s importer. This second visit was also very friendly and a great experience! 
A few days after our second visit, we were off to Germany to visit Clearaudio’s production plant. On this occasion, we met the brand’s CEO, Robert Suchy, our VIP guide. The visit was also very educational and we had the opportunity to see the production of the great vinyl turntables and Hi-Fi cartridges. A great experience! 
In mid-July, the last stage of our ‘European tour’: the visit to Focal/Naim Audio’s production plants, in France this time, in Saint-Etienne. The French brand Focal recently bought out British firm Naim Audio. During this visit, we were able to admire a wide selection of speakers, every single one of them very impressive. Great discoveries!

An athletic summer at maPlatine.com
The summer 2016 was also when the European football championship was organised in France! And at maPlatine.com, we were standing at the ready to cheer for our French team, who gave us great moments. 🙂 
Another major event of the summer 2016: The Rio Olympics! We couldn’t miss out on the event. For the occasion, we wanted to do something special, still analogue-related 😉
