The Atlas Hyper Achromatic interconnect cable constitutes a significant evolution of the Atlas Equator Achromatic interconnect cable. It’s easy to identify it with its black sheath and not ivory like the one found on lower-end models.

ATLAS HYPER ACHROMATIC: CHARACTERISTICS

The Atlas Hyper Achromatic uses a fully coaxial topology. The signal is composed of 95 99.997% pure (6N) OFC (Oxygen Free Copper) copper strands. It’s surrounded by a shield made of 252 94.2% pure OFC copper strands.

The set is designed and built to offer a wide bandwidth combined with excellent resistance to RFI (Radio Frequency Interference). These frequencies increase noise levels in poorly shielded cables, which leads to a loss of low-level signals.

The Hyper Achromatic is equipped with new Atlas Achromatic RCA plugs. These proprietary RCA plugs are self-cleaning! In fact, you just need to remove them and insert them back to clean possibly oxidized contact areas.

These Achromatic RCA are provided with a low-mass non-conductive material. It allows to limit adverse effects from Eddy currents flowing through connectors. Conductors are connected to the RCA via crimping. The absence of wielding allows to obtain a cleaner signal.

This interconnect cable offers a natural and nuanced reproduction with a focus on instruments’ timbre quality. Above all, there’s a clear emphasis on the mid-range which benefits from a remarkable presence and definition for a cable sold at this price.
