This new Thorens TD 2015 is a genuine rigid turntable. The only damping is provided by the three feet with an anti-vibration system. The 25 mm thick transparent acrylic plinth weighs 6.5 Kg. The solid aluminium platter weighs 3.7 Kg! Use with the provided wool felt mat. The DC motor is isolated from the plinth with an external electronic controller, the great PS800, for more silence and stability.
