The Audioquest Rocket 33 speaker cable is the evolution of the well-known Type 4, that goes through time without lose a single wrinkle since the late 80’s.

The Rocket 33 is built on a dual Star-Quad geometry that conserves time information while preserving the dynamic and clarity.

Negative conductors of the Rocket 33 cable are covered by partially conductive carbon-filled polyethylene insulator. This remarkable material reduces radio waste sent to the amplifier. It also absorbs several electromagnetic disturbances.

Moreover, a carbon layer reduces the interaction between the positive and negative conductors. An external carbon-based noise dissipation system reduces external interferences.

All conductors of this speaker cable (total of 8) are made of LGC single-filament copper (Solid Long-Grain Copper). This copper contains less impurities and less internal junctions, thus reducing distortions.

The banana plugs of the 300 series are gold-plated and provide excellent contact with a low resistance.

The Rocket 33 speaker cable offers an excellent definition and precision better than the Type 4 by Audioquest, the American manufacturer.

The mid-range is also well structured and offers a more important excursion in the extreme notes. We also notice that it is more physical and offers best transients compared to competing cables in this range.

The reproduction is overall soft and round, giving an excellent mid-range and an outstanding voice presence.

This Audioquest Rocket 33 speaker cable will no give clarity to a dark system. However, if your Hi-Fi system lacks matter, it is an excellent option!

Note that we enjoyed its tonal balance and its excellent dynamic and that the bi-wiring version does not offer much regarding to the listening and seems less coherent.
