The Supra Ply 3.4 speaker cable has the same “square” design made up of mangled braid cores, narrowly disposed one on top of the other. It reveals the potential of the dynamics and transients of your Hi-Fi system. In other words, it reduces interferences and interaction distortion. The Supra Ply cable, with its important section (3.4mm²), shows a low resistance and avoids surface effect and distortion by using a very pure and specific tin plating. It is also the benefit obtained by using a mix of copper and tin. It also resists to the corrosion of materials, hermetically protecting the copper. It can therefore be used outside. Unlike most audio cables of today, the advantages of the Supra Ply 3.4 cable are proven by tests and measures.
Once again, Supra has designed a “simple” but ingenious cable with undebatable physical properties. It is mounted with excellent Combicon conductors. They enable to choose between 4mm forks and bananas.
The Ply 3.4 offers a large and generous restitution. The soundstage is large and very precise for a speaker cable of this range. The dynamics are present and the tempo perfectly marked. The general balance is “soft” but does dot mask any details. The Supra Ply 3.4 speaker cable offers a lot of body and sharpness in the low midrange and bass. This part of the spectrum is very articulated and does not show any limitation. The high midrange and treble seem less forward compared to several other cables. In reality, maybe this Supra Ply 3.4 speaker cable is simply more neutral?!
We recommend this Supra cable on all systems that require precision, depth, and a “flat” frequency response. It is maybe not advised on “smooth” or “dark” Hi-Fi speakers, but on our Focal Aria 906 bookshelf speakers, the results were remarkable!
