Audioquest Yosemite Tonearm phono cable

The Audioquest Yosemite Tonearm cable is the first in the manufacturer's "PHONO" range to feature the Audioquest DBS (Dielectric-Bias System) polarization system.

The Yosemite Tonearm phono cable is designed for connection to a straight DIN type SME arm. At the other end, it features silver-plated RCA connectors and a grounding cable with a silver-plated spade connector.

The conductors are made of Solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+), which is a single, solid core copper. This design prevents electrical and magnetic interactions between strands. The solid PSC+ copper minimizes distortion caused by grain boundaries and maximizes linear RF noise dissipation. The insulation (dielectric) is composed of air tubes (FEP), enhancing performance.

Audioquest achieves nearly 100% shielding by alternating layers of metal and carbon-loaded synthetics called NDS.

Additionally, the cable features active DBS polarization. A battery-powered unit attached to the cable provides a 72V current to the shield, effectively blocking all radio frequency and electromagnetic interference.

The left and right channels are housed in a single jacket and feature an asymmetrical geometry with separate positive and negative conductors. This design results in a highly flexible cable that maintains high performance and versatility.

It's important to note that due to the proximity of the connectors, the L and R inputs should not be more than 7.5cm apart.

This highly performing phono cable is recommended for use with a mid-range turntable equipped with a low-output MC cartridge.
