The Sonus Faber Sonetto III tower speakers are the very first tower speakers offered by the Italian manufacturer in this new range. This series is interposed between the Chameleon and the Olympica Nova.

We also find the look and the particular boat bow shape Olympica speakers and the former Venere.
As with all Sonus Faber speakers, the Sonetto III is wonderfully crafted in any finish (black, white or wood). The level of finish is remarkable and honors the "Made in Italy"!
SONUS FABER SONETTO III: SPEAKERS
The Sonetto III is a 3-way 4 speakers.
The Bass/Reflex load follows the principle of the "Reflex Port" designed by Sonus Faber. It debauches under the speaker and is diffused by the ground at 360 °.
The bass register is processed by two 150 mm speakers with an aluminium membrane. This ensures a deep, tense and very fast bass.
The medium is provided by a 150 mm cellulose fibre speaker. This technology gives a very open and natural medium.
It is associated to the excellent 29mm DKM dome tweeter to handle high frequencies. In order to limit distortions and disturbances in the high frequencies, this tweeter is isolated from the cabinet of the Hi-Fi speaker by a viscoelastic joint.
The speakers can be hidden behind a rigid black Jersey cover fixed with magnets.
SONUS FABER SONETTO III: INSTALLATION
The placement of these tower speakers is not very complicated. We recommend to place them 30cm from the rear wall and to place them 2.50 or 3m apart.
They require a good running-in period at least 50 hours, to express it.
SONUS FABER SONETTO III: TEST AND LISTENING
From the very first notes, we are surprised by the quality of the tonal balance!
The timbres are very beautiful and classy. On voices, brass and strings, the Sonetto III offer an impressive presence and level of realism!
The bass is perfectly mastered and offers a remarkable swing and articulation. It seems to drop a little lower than competing speakers, but with much more articulation and precision.
However, the Sonus Faber Sonetto III does not exude a warm or too romantic "sound". On the contrary, it is lively, quick and very punchy if the amplifier allows it.
This speaker has been perfectly designed for medium-sized living rooms. In these, the Sonetto III finds its place perfectly and offers a perfect balance. The sound scene is precise but with a surprising fullness.
Note the perfect integration of the treble, which offers enough clarity and precision not to make the restitution dark and boring.
