Pro-Ject Power Box RS Phono: features

The Power Box Phono RS uses batteries to fully isolate the preamplifier from the power grid.

The housing accommodates a Lithium Polymer battery for each channel. The power supplied is pure and clean. The weaker the signals, the more sensitive they are! An MC phono preamplifier processes signals with amplitudes of less than one thousandth of a volt! The quality of the power supply unit directly affects the sound quality and its substance.

When Pro-Ject's Power Box Phono power supply unit is fully charged and connected to the Phono Box RS, it is fully isolated from current and voltage interferences and line noises.

When the battery voltage decreases and reaches the charge limit, the charger is connected automatically. The charge status is shown via a LED on the front panel.

Playback has no time restrictions, though the benefit of fully isolating the preamp from the mains is lost. The battery acts as a buffer and hence a filter, and the sound quality is far superior to a standard power adapter.

When charged, it runs for approx. 4 hours and the total charge time is about 4 hours.
