The Shuko Rhodium Furutech FT-SWS NCF R wall socket is part of the new Furutech range of wall sockets. Like always with Furutech, the manufacturing quality is remarkable. The carbon fiber finish is very beautiful.
This wall socket receives a Furutech treatment called “NCF” (Nano Crystal² Formula). It is made up of a specific crystalline material that has two “active” properties. The first generates negative ions that eliminate static electricity. The second converts thermal energy into infrared.
Furutech then combines this remarkable crystalline material with nano sized ceramic particles and carbon powder. These were chosen for their “Piezo Effect” damping properties.
The resulting Nano Crystal² Formula is the ultimate electrical and mechanical damping material. It is only available in NFC Furutech products.
The two sockets have alpha conductors that are made up of pure copper plated with a 0.5mm layer of rhodium.
The insulation is made up of nylon and fiberglass. In accordance with the Nano Crystal² Formula, it incorporates nano sized crystalline particles, piezo ceramic particles, and carbon powder.
The bracket is made out of a 1 mm thick brace with a zinc/steel plate. The front plate is made out of a stainless zinc/steel alloy.
It is specified for cables with a diameter between 2.8mm and 5.5mm, that is to say 10AWG max.
