Atlas EOS Modular 4.0: features

The Atlas EOS Modular 4.0 power strip is fully shielded. It is manufactured from a welded steel chassis. It ensures a maximal protection against radio frequency interferences and electro magnetic interferences (EMI).

All of the components are of the highest quality possible: from the filtering circuit board to the gold plated connections. In order to ensure a perfect transmission of power between the sockets and the power supply, the EOS Modular 4.0 is internally wired with Atlas Eos 4.0 PTFE power cable (4mm²).

The Scottish brand Atlas uses a technique called “Atlas ssd”: sequential socket decoupling. This ensures that even the sockets that are not subjected to inline filtration benefit of an interference-free operation. The advantage is that all the sockets perform identically, which is not the case with standard power strips. Indeed, in general, the sockets nearest the cable entry typically perform best because the impedance increases as resistive losses accumulate on each “daisy-chained socket”.

It is advised to use the Atlas EOS 4.0 DD power cable between the wall socket and the Atlas EOS Modular 4.0 power strip.

This high end power strip has a non-intrusive filter and does not flange the dynamics nor color the signal.  

Atlas EOS Modular 4.0: listening and review

The Atlas EOS Modular 4.0 power strip has given the system a true whip lash!

The dynamics are impressive as well as transparency and clarity. The midrange has gained in clarity and in presence.

It seems to to have been “cleaned”! The high frequencies are of great finesse and do not seem to be limited. There is no aggressiveness or “whistles” to signal.

Indeed, this Atlas EOS Modular 4.0 power strip is quite expensive, but it is terribly efficient on a quality Hi-Fi system that requires to be optimized.
