Description

This mono cartridge has all the features of its stereo counterpart, the AT33 EV. Its stylus and suspension have been modified to accommodate monophonic records.

Audio Technica AT33 mono: Needle

Hence, the mono AT33 cartridge features the solid aluminium body with internal damping with extra synthetic Hanenite resin like the AT33 EV cartridge, except that it has a spherical stylus bonded to a Duralium cantilever.

Audio Technica AT33 mono: Suspension

The suspension of this AudioTechnica cartridge has been optimised to minimise vertical oscillations on mono records.

In fact, the output signal is solely obtained with the horizontal component of the movement. But the compliance was designed to make this cartridge compatible with stereo records.

Audio Technica AT33 mono: Listening and test review

The sound quality is amazing in terms of presence and authenticity.

Certainly one of the best Mono cartridges around…
