The new Monitor Audio Bronze 50 7G incorporates the DNA that has made the bronze series so successful over the past 25 years.

This new version has been improved to offer better performance in terms of power and transparency, while remaining in a compact format.

The Monitor Audio bronze 50 7G maintains discreet proportions and allows it to blend seamlessly into a living room.

This new baffle is made of 18mm plywood. It is extremely rigid and does not vibrate, thus not altering the sound. The front panel, which is attached to the cabinet, houses the bass and tweeter drivers. These can be hidden behind a magnetic black jersey cover, regardless of the speaker's finish.

The cabinet is dense and heavy (6.4kg) and shows good build quality. Internal reinforcement ensures great rigidity to the cabinet. On the back of it, we find the bass/reflex vent and a good quality double terminal block.

The Monitor Audio Bronze 50 7G is a two-way loudspeaker. As such, it is equipped with a 25mm C-CAM gold dome tweeter with the UD (uniform dispersion) waveguide designed to create a clearer, wider soundstage and improve time alignment. It also features an attractive hexagonal pattern aluminum grille. Monitor Audio introduced its first gold dome tweeter in 1986.

The new 6" C-CAM mid/bass driver replaces the 5" one from the old Bronze 50. The crossover has been redesigned and made from higher quality components.

The Bass/Reflex load is managed by a vent on the back of the speaker, offering HiVe II technology which guarantees fast and punchy bass.

It is recommended to position these speakers at least 45 cm from the ground. However, 60 cm high stands are preferred.

Given the position of the vent, at the rear of the speakers, we recommend that you separate them 30cm from the wall.

While you wouldn't expect powerful bass from a speaker of this size, the bass extension provided by the Bronze 50 7G is remarkable. The rear Bass/Reflex port set at 47 Hz does its job perfectly. The overall sound is physical and punchy.

The midrange is very beautiful, with a slight coloration that makes this part of the spectrum a little flattering and very musical. The high end of the spectrum is very clear, particularly precise and perfectly integrated into the midrange (excellent filtering).

The soundstage is excellent and the placement of vocals and instruments is realistic. The speakers are not overly directional and if you place them carefully, the result is balanced in terms of frequency response and stereo placement.

The Monitor Audio Bronze 50 7G produces a surprising sound for its size and price. The sound is lively and playful, and the bass extension is truly impressive.
