Wireworld Solstice 8 interconnect cable

The Wireworld Solstice 8 interconnect cable is the technological evolution of the classic Solstice 7 from the American manufacturer Wireworld.

WIREWORLD SOLSTICE 8: CHARACTERISTICS

The appearance of this latest version is not much different from the Wireworld Luna 8 interconnect cable .

The silver-plated gold RCA connector is the one used on the Gold-Tube range. The conductors are made of silver-plated OFC copper and have an AWG of 23 (0.26mm²).

Their architecture uses the patented Tri DNA Helix design. This geometry uses a twisted flat helix conductor inside an insulator.

The positive and ground conductors are located in different “tubes”. Both are made of OFC (Oxygen Free Copper) as well. However, the Solstice 8 cable features a silver plating allowing to limit resistance and increase dynamic range and transparency.

The Wireworld Solstice 8 shielding uses the Composilex 3 technology.

It’s obtained from a polymer composite insulator with the sole purpose of optimising audio signal. For instance, it limits memory effects and minimises noise related to conventional insulation materials to the maximum.

WIREWORLD SOLSTICE 8: TESTING AND LISTENING

The Wireworld Solstice 8 cable offers great qualities in terms of dynamic range and transparency. Reproduction is accurate and very realistic.

The soundstage is well reproduced with the perfect amount of depth and space. We notice very articulated lower frequencies and an excellent sense of rhythm.
