Wireworld's Equinox 7 interconnect cable has many technical innovations and impressive performance levels for a competitive price.
The conductors are similar to those used in Wireworld's Solstice 7 cable except that their section has been quadrupled to a size of 2 x 0.4 mm². Four conductor pairs are used instead of two. They have a Quad DNA Helix design. Four flat conductors are stacked and twisted together in jackets. The insulation between the conductors is Composilex 2, an innovative material that better controls static and reduces the memory effect. It adds clarity to the sound image. Standard insulation materials struggle to absorb modulation distortion noise. The RCA connectors are of excellent build quality. The copper connector has a silver plating for better conductivity. The patented Silver Tube technology uses a silicone ring to isolate the core from the ground.
The sound quality of Wireworld's Equinox 7 cable definitely relies on neutrality and subtlety. However, it is still punchy and does justice to the percussion and string sections. The soundstage is also quite impressive. It goes a lot further in terms of clarity and precision than the range below it.
It’s great value for money! Highly recommended...
