REGA RX1 bookshelf speakers

The Rega RX1 bookshelf speakers have been designed to deliver high-level music performance in a small volume.

REGA RX1: DESIGN

The RX1 speakers are made in a 18mm MDF case. This one receives a real wood finish of 3 three species (black ash, cherry-wood and walnut).

At the back of the speaker there is a simple terminal block compatible with banana plugs, forks and bare wire and the bass/reflex load vent.

The upper end of the spectrum is provided with a ZRR silk dome tweeter designed by Rega. The mid-bass woofer is also made by Rega. This DX-125 receives a treated cellulose membrane and an aluminum cone.

REGA RX1: INSTALLATION

The Rega RX-ONE speakers can be used on stands up to about 60 cm high, on a shelf or console.

The bass fullness and response can be adjusted by changing the distance between the bookshelf speaker and the wall.

Like all Hi-Fi speakers, the response in the lower spectrum depends on the room size. The Rega RX1 speakers are recommended for mid-sized or even small rooms (< to 25m2).

REGA RX1: TEST AND LISTENING

The treble is detailed, clear and without hardness. It is perfectly integrated to the mid-range and offers a linear frequency response.

The mid-range is both detailed and refined. The combination with a Rega Brio integrated amplifier is great and very musical.

Like all Rega’s products, we find swing and natural spontaneity in these Rega RX1 bookshelf speakers.
