The 3020i bookshelf speakers developed by the British manufacturer Q Acoustics come in 5 amazing finishes and once again, the brand scores a good quality and affordable product. The 5 variants are: graphite, black walnut, leather, glossy white and glossy black.
This new 3000 line features a next-generation dome tweeter with concentric rings. A 100 mm mid-bass speaker driver provides the acoustic loading and its cones are made of aramid/paper fibre. You will notice the precision in the choice of components used to filter the speaker drivers. The cabinet's rigidity has been optimised to minimise unwanted resonance transferred to the baffle by the speaker drivers' vibrations. You will also notice that the terminal blocks are underneath the speaker. It is a pair of connectors for bi-wiring or bi-amplification.
Sonically, this pair of Q Acoustics 3020i bookshelf speakers will not leave you indifferent with the warmth it provides the sound reproduction with. It delivers an open soundstage. The dynamics have a lot to do with it, giving tempo, but the tonal balance is remarkably accurate for bookshelf speakers in this price range.
