Q Acoustics Concept 40 tower speakers

The Q Acoustics Concept 40 speakers are the floorstanding variant of the Q Acoustics Concept 20 bookshelf speakers.

Q Acoustics Concept 40: cabinet

The cabinet has been meticulously designed. Sandwiched between two 10 mm thick MDF panels, a gel (GelCore) has been incorporated to ward off resonance.

These cabinets are available in two finishes: glossy black or glossy white. 

For optimised performance, each tower speaker sits on an elegant stand to reduce contact with the floor.

Q Acoustics Concept 40: front panel

The aluminium front panel does not only serve a cosmetic purpose. The front panel is part of an assembly that holds a layer of Butyl rubber to the front panel to minimise resonance.

Butyl rubber has great damping properties and is perfectly suited to the construction of Hi-Fi speakers. It is heat resistant and has low air permeability.

Q Acoustics Concept 40: features

The Concept 40 have two 125 mm high mid-bass speaker drivers and a 25 mm high tweeter. They have two sets of good quality terminals. The double terminal is compatible with bi-wiring/bi-amplification. 

To get good dynamics and an ultra-short transient response, the low distortion motors feature powerful oversized magnets.

With 90 dB sensitivity, the Q Acoustics Concept 40 speakers are easily driven by a wide selection of good amplifiers.
