Direct Drive Turntables

All turntables do not offer a platter drive through a belt. Indeed, the direct drive turntables have a motor directly linked to the axis of the platter. We can find this technology on professionnal vinyl players : broadcasting, theaters or world of discotheque (DJ turntables), electro and Hip Hop. They have the advantage of starting and stopping instantly, but also the advantage of offering the possibility of calibration, mixing or scratching, thanks to a suitable cartridge. These direct drive turntables also allow to change the speed in order to synchronize the beat or to change the tone.
