The Audioquest Ethernet RJ/E Forest cable is a Cat 7 lead. Four pairs of cebles are twisted, shielded individually and collectively to reduce interference related to crosstalk. Crosstalk refers to the inference of one signal with another, and its prevention is the main benefit of an effective shielding system. The Ethernet RJ/E Forest cable's conductors are made of oxygen-free copper (OFC) and plated with silver (0.5%) to ensure excellent conductivity. The silver plating significantly improves the sound of the higher frequencies, as they circulate for the most part on the surface of the cables. The connectors are made of gold-plated nickel.
This cable delivers performances that are as strong as a cable made entirely of silver, but at a far more affordable price. The Forest Ethernet cable is insulated by high-density polyethylene with similar insulation properties to air, preventing all forms of external interference. This prevents all forms of external interference. The connectors are gold-plated and well-shielded. Small arrows are marked on the cable to make installation easier (e.g. from a router to a network player) as well as to indicate the direction of the flow. To get the most out of a Hi-Fi system connected to your network, signal must be transmitted smoothly. The Audioquest RJ/E Forest Ethernet cable is more than capable of doing the job, and without any interference that could affect sound quality. Franck
