MC INTOSH MB50: FRONT PANEL
On the front panel, recognizable among all, we find the traditional and excellent headphone output.
There is also an input selector, a Wifi/Net selector and 2 buttons that allow you to manage the volume + and -.
MC INTOSH MB50: BACK PANEL
At the back of the device, there are balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) analogue outputs to connect the MB50 to an amplifier or preamplifier. As these outputs are variable, so the MB50 can be used as a preamplifier.
In addition, there are digital outputs (optical and coaxial), as well as one analogue and two digital inputs (optical and coaxial).
When sources are connected, the MB50 can stream them to other Play-Fi devices of your network. This makes the music accessible in every rooms, on a physical base that was previously limited to only one room.
On each side of the chassis, two Wi-Fi antennas provide a stable network connection for smooth and uninterrupted playback.
The MB50 can be connected to your network thanks to an optional USB-Ethernet adapter.
MC INTOSH MB50: TECHNOLOGY
The MB50 network player is also equipped with the DTS Play-Fi® technology, to give you the necessary liberty and flexibility to listen to your music wirelessly at home, on your Wi-Fi network.
The MB50 allows you to use DTS Play-Fi broadcast capabilities, while keeping the quality and sound of the manufacturer.
The advantage of the DTS Play-Fi over other broadcast options, is that the native playback of high-resolution files, up to 24 bit/192 kHz, is available without sampling reduction.
Most common audio formats are compatible with this network player, including MP3, M4A, FLAC and WAV files.
MC INTOSH MB50: USE
The Mc Intosh MB50 allows you to access to your own music library on your network (PC, Apple, NAS...).
The application supports several online broadcast services, including Amazon Prime Music, Deezer, KKBox, Pandora®, Qobuz, QQMusic, Rhapsody®, SiriusXM®, Songza, Spotify®, TIDAL, etc. Note that the McIntosch MB50 is an "Amazon Works With Alexa" certified product.
Just talk to your Alexa device to operate your MB50 from any room. You can set the MB50 as your priority Alexa playback device in the “Alexa” application.
MC INTOSH MB50: SET UP
The set up is very simple. Just connect the Mc Intosh MB50 to your audio system, and in parallel, to your Wi-Fi network.
Of course, you must download the Mc Intosh application on your Apple or Android tablet.
MC INTOSH MB50: TEST AND LISTENING
The restitution reflects the American manufacturer: dynamic, powerful and precise. The timbres are full and rich.
The whole “sounds” very analogical! We often forget that we listen to 1 and 0!
