It has a triple shielding system that consists of one mylar aluminium screen and two OFC copper braids, ensuring optimal signal transmission from one connector to the other.

These connectors are plated with 24-carat gold for optimal contact. It is also insulated with low density polyethylene to prevent all forms of distortion. Unlike the QED Performance Audio coaxial cable, the Reference’s conductors are made of silver-plated oxygen-free copper, which significantly improves definition and dynamic range.
