NuPrime CDP-9 CD player

The NuPrime CDP-9 CD player is a high end CD player which integrates a high end analogue/digital converter. It also includes a preamplifier and a headphone output of high quality.

A powerful DSP handles the decoding of the CD as well as all “Red book” Philips error corrections. A master clock controls the entire decoding system, thus significantly reducing the “jitter”. The mechanics were optimized in order to control the least amount of vibrations possible. The high end Philips SAA7824HL laser ensures the reading of the CD.

The converter offers a selectable sampling frequency for digital outputs up to 32 bits/768 kHz and DSD512! The CD format is converted with the highest sampling rate possible or in DSD format up to DSD512! The sampling rate of all digital inputs, including the CD Player, can be converted to PCM or DSD, from 44.1kHz to 768kHz or DSD64 to DSD512. The conversion is made by upsampling to megahertz before the conversion towards the chosen sampling rate.

The headphone output uses a high end amplifier which offers a fast response time, very low harmonic distortion, and excellent musicality.

The NuPrime CDP-9 CD player integrates a preamplifier of excellent quality. The volume control is achieved by an advanced field-programmable gate array, FPGA, on the signal path. The gain level is individually adjustable on each input thus enabling a perfect balance of the sources. The volume control disposes of 99 notches, each notch corresponds to 0.5 dB.

The NuPrime CDP-9 CD player is a remarkable CD player. It offers a very precise and neutral restitution. It can also be dynamic and nuanced.
