Atoll CD100 SE-2 CD Player

The Atoll CD100 SE-2 CD player is replaced by the Atoll CD100 Signature CD player.

The Atoll CD100 SE2 CD player is an exceptionally well-built CD player. It has a metal housing and an aluminium front panel, available in black or silver. It uses the excellent Burr Brown PCM1796 DAC for digital/analogue conversion, and the digital and analogue sections are powered separately by a 15VA transformer. The output stages are made up of discrete class A bipolar components and are powered by a 160VA toroidal transformer.

It has a pure CD mechanism mounted onto an anti-resonance body and can play CDs, CD-Rs and MP3 files. The CD100 SE2 CD player has a stereo analogue output, which means it can be connected to an amplifier such as the Atoll IN100. It can also be connected to a digital-to-analogue converter, such as the Atoll DAC 200, via its coaxial S/PDIF digital output. 

You can also insert a digital card into the CD100 SE2 CD player, which will transform it into a digital-to-analogue converter. If you do choose this optional digital card, you will be able to access a USB input which will let you connect the CD player to a computer. This USB input enables you to play music directly from a streaming platform or internet radio. It also has a second digital coaxial S/PDIF or Toslink optical input. 

The Atoll CD100 SE2 CD player has good dynamic range and excellent precision.
