2019 is now well started… So we can already make an update on the latest new products from the Hi-Fi manufacturers<\/strong>. In this first part of 2019, it is notably the Pro-Ject<\/a> manufacturer who has spoiled us with many new products!<\/p>\n

The Pro-Ject Debut III S Audiophile turntable<\/a><\/h2>\n

The Austrian manufacturer offers a brand new version of its mythical Debut III with this new Debut III S Audiophile turntable<\/strong>! This one is based on the characteristics of its predecessor and the famous Debut Carbon<\/a>: plinth, motor, platter… Its main modification is its tonearm. The popular 8.6 Carbon tonearm has been replaced by an aluminium version with an “S” profile. Note that this type of tonearm is usually used on higher-end turntables!<\/p>\n

Logically, we find a restitution similar to the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon<\/strong>: dynamics, precision, robust bass, all at a very affordable price. An outstanding surprise by Pro-Ject<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

The Pro-Ject phono cartridges<\/h2>\n

The big novelty of this year 2019<\/strong> is that the Austrian manufacturer offers now its own phono cartridges! To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Pro-Ject<\/strong> has indeed collaborated with the biggest manufacturer of phono cartridges: Ortofon<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Pro-Ject Pick It 25 A MM cartridge<\/a><\/h3>\n

The Pro-Ject Pick It 25A cartridge<\/strong> is a moving magnet model, which is a kind of combination of the Ortofon OM10 cartridge and the famous Ortofon 2M Red<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Thanks to its features, this MM cartridge<\/a> can be associated with all low mass turntable tonearms as well as entry-level MM phono preamplifiers. This new Pro-Ject MM cartridge<\/strong> is a great success!<\/p>\n

The Pro-Ject Pick It DS2 MC cartridge<\/a><\/h3>\n

To complete its new range of phono cartridges, Pro-Ject offers a moving coil model, the Pick It DS2 MC<\/strong>. It is designed on the same principles as an Ortofon Quintet cartridge<\/strong>. It can be used with all medium weight tonearms, especially the 9 and 10″ tonearms used on Pro-Ject turntables<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In terms of sound rendition, the Austrian and Danish DNA are present. This Pro-Ject Pick It DS2 MC cartridge<\/a> offers dynamic, detailed and articulated sound reproduction. An MC cartridge as we are used to love!<\/p>\n

The Pro-Ject Maia S2 all-in-one integrated amplifier<\/a><\/h2>\n

Pro-Ject replaces its Maia all-in-one integrated amplifier<\/strong> with an improved, higher performance S2 version. The Maia S2 is now made completely made of aluminum, but still retains its compact size. Despite its small size, it is a real Swiss knife of Hi-Fi<\/strong> with its multiple connections!<\/p>\n

This integrated amplifier<\/a> can be associated to a wide choice of quality Hi-Fi speakers placed in a listening room of about 25 m2. This Maia S2 all-in-one<\/a> gives a dynamic and well-balanced sound reproduction. Like its predecessor, it is likely that this Pro-Ject Maia S2<\/strong> will please a lot of music lovers!<\/p>\n
